Privacy Policy

Ask Engy (askengy.com) is a personal wardrobe platform operated by Engy Maher Ashour, an individual operator ("we", "us"). Your wardrobe is personal. This policy explains, in plain words, what data we hold, where it lives, and what your rights are.

What we collect

We do not collect advertising identifiers, we do not run third-party tracking, and we never sell your data.

How your photos are used, and who processes them

Your photos exist to power your own wardrobe. When you use a styling feature (auto-tagging a photo, logging an outfit from a selfie, chatting with Engy, or requesting a closet report), the relevant photos and wardrobe details are sent securely to Anthropic (a US company), whose Claude models generate the result. Anthropic processes this data to provide the service and, under its API terms, does not use it to train its models by default.

These features run only when you tap them. Nothing is analysed in the background.

White photo backgrounds are different: they are created entirely on your own device. Those photos never leave your phone or computer for that purpose.
